The road formerly included the section from Cowley bridge to the division where Bonhay road divides by the water trough and the section from there to the clock tower. Later the latter part was re-named as the New North Road and added to the existing part of that road that ran from the clock tower and past the prison. | |||

The road formerly included the section from Cowley bridge to the division where Bonhay road divides by the water trough and the section from there to the clock tower.
