1897-8 Louis Gustave Mouchel became [[Hennebique]]’s agent in Britain. He organised his business to follow Hennebique’s model with specially trained regional engineers to execute working drawings (after initial designs by an architect or engineer), contractors ‘licensed’ to execute them in return for royalties, and nationwide expansion.
 
By 1905, most reinforced concrete works and all framed buildings in Britain were made using Hennebique’s system. It was from about this date that growing criticism of the ‘system specialist’, and of Mouchel personally, began to be heard.

1924 Designed the first natural draught hyperbolic-curved reinforced concrete cooling towers in the UK for [[Lister Drive Power Station]] in Liverpool. Mouchel's senior engineer [[T. J. Guerritte]] persuaded the City Engineers to consider the new material. The firm was appointed to design the towers, eventually providing 12 for the site. L.G. Mouchel & Partners went on to dominate the market for the design of such towers for the next 40 years. G. MOUCHEL & PARTNERS, was dissolved so far as concerns Leslie Dobson who retires from the said firm.[4]
