This 50m span steel footbridge crosses the River Avon upstream of Temple Meads Station.
Designed by Knight Architects, Jacobs (Ch2m). Fabricators: SH Structures.
Well-designed from the users' points of view, and nicely detailed.
Winner of several awards. 'A holistic architectural, functional, and structural approach resulted in a bridge that is compact and clearly legible for users while being architecturally distinctive. ..... Unfortunately, the appearance was not so attractive in 2022, the sloping steel sides having attracted graffiti and algae.
Currently (November 2022) the path over the bridge leads nowhere.
