Ineos Group Limited is a British multinational chemicals company headquartered and registered in London.
1998 Company founded by Jim Ratcliffe as an MBO from Inspec with the purchase of the one time BP Antwerp operation that made ethylene oxide and glycol[1]
1999 Ineos acquired its acrylics operations from ICI.[2]
2000 The business was making acrylics and ethylene; it was located in Belgium. Acquired from ICI the Chlor Chemicals operations (maker of chlorine and caustic soda) in Runcorn as well as the Klea, fluorine compound production, and Crosfield, silica makers, businesses. [3]
2001 Ineos Chlor, a company based in Belgium, acquired the chlorine operations of ICI at Northwich, Runcorn and Wilton; later made significant redundancies[4]
