1859 Patent #876 granted to William Campion of Nottingham, of the firm W.W. Campion, machine builders[1].

1860 William Campion and William Campion of Nottingham gained patent no.1569 for sewing machines[2].

1864 Newton, Wilson and Co started manufacturing industrial sewing machines at the factory of Campion and Johnson.
