Barclays and Company of River Bank Engine Works, Kilmarnock
1872 This company was set up by Andrew Barclay for his four sons and his brother Jack.
1879 Had completed 76 railway locomotives.
1888 The works were sold and the business concentrated at Andrew Barclay, Sons and Co. Probably around 124 locomotives were built.
1925 The firm went into liquidation. Andrew Barclay, Sons and Co made a statement they had no further connection with the company.[1]
