Lieut. (E.) MICHAEL LOGAN EDGAR lost his life on 5th April 1942 when HMS Cornwall was sunk off Ceylon by enemy action. He was born in 1910 and received his technical education at the Manchester School of Technology.

Rylands, wire manufacturers, where he received his practical training, and was appointed assistant departmental manager in 1935, a position which he held until he joined the Royal Navy as a sub-lieutenant, R.N.V.R., in 1940.
