The charity employs a handful of people in the office working with specialist volunteers across the country. We work hard to write, edit and maintain the up-keep of the website for all to use without restriction. Your support will also contribute to the technical and digital software we use to preserve the information we collect. | |||

This covers the cost of servers, internet bandwidth, administration and a member of staff to scan old books and documents. In addition we rely upon a number of very willing volunteers who freely contribute their time and expertise.
Your donation will enable us to continue this work and increase the amount of information published. We are a registered charity so every penny is spent on the project.
Our aim is to publish as much information about this industrial past as we are able to find. This information is then available for educational and research purposes worldwide.
