1905 The company, a public company, was registered on 17 June, to acquire the businesses of merchants and manufacturers of dental materials of Claudius Ash and Sons, and of manufacturers of mineral teeth of Ash and Co. [1]
1907 Formed the Platinum Corporation to guarantee supplies of a key raw material by exploiting a concession in Russia[2]
1913 of Walton on Thames[3]
The firm suffered as a result of a price war in the trade and underwent several changes, but the company nevertheless remained a first-class supplier of dental products.
c.1922 Death of Claudius James Ash[4]
1924 Merger with De Trey and Co, another of the leading British firms making dental appliances, to form Amalgamated Dental Co.
1925 Claudius Ash Sons & Co., Ltd., and Percy Claude Matchwick Ash applied for the restoration of the patent granted to them for an invention entitled An improvement relating to artificial teeth" numbered 18188 of 1913, and bearing date the 9th day of August, 1913, which expired on the 9th day of August, 1917[5]
