Many people in Pyrford and neighbourhood will mourn the death of Mr. William McLaren, which occurred at his residence. Blackdown, Friday last week, at the age of 62 years. Deceased had been in poor health for some time past, but the end came quite suddenly. On the previous Wednesday he attended business as usual, and during Thursday his condition gave cause for alarm, but after retiring was taken ill, and at 4:30 a.m. he passed away. With the widow and two daughters — one of whom is married - much sympathy will be felt by their sad bereavement. | |||
The family came to reside at Blackdown, which was built for their occupation, some 16 years ago, and have achieved widespread popularity for their kindliness and generosity.
