1915 The West of Scotland Wringer Company Limited, 52 St Enoch Square, Glasgow, was incorporated as a private company, with capital of £2,000, to manufacture, repair, and deal in wringers, mangles, carpet sweepers, washing machines, knife-cleaners, etc.[1]

1932 The company's factory, which overlooked Charing Cross railway station in Glasgow, was gutted by fire.[2]
