Laurence Beddome Turner (1880-1963) M.A., M.I.E.E.

1880 Born

Educated at Bedford Grammar School

1904 King's College, Cambridge.

1907 First class honours in Mechanical Sciences Tripos.

1907-8 Research at the Cambridge University Engineering Laboratory.

1909 Spent a year in the workshops and drawing office of Siemens Brothers at Woolwich and Siemens u. Halske A.G. at Berlin

1910 Joined the Engineer-in-Chief's office of the G.P.O.. Engaged there in experimental and design work on wireless telegraphy.

1916 Attached to the Army Signals Experimental Establishment at Woolwich.

1919 Fellow and Assistant Tutor at King's College, Cambridge.

1919 Member of the Imperial Wireless Telegraphy Committee

1920 Member of the Wireless Telegraphy Commission

Author of "Outline of Wireless," 1921, and numerous technical papers.
