- This six mile line was opened in 1865 to connect the Bradford, Wakefield and Leeds Railway with the Methley branch of the Lancashire and Yorkshire Railway. [1]
- 1908 The line is the joint property of the Great Northern Railway, the Lancashire and Yorkshire Railway and the North Eastern Railway. [2]
- 1923 Became part of London, Midland and Scottish Railway and the London and North Eastern Railway. [3]
