1908 Miss Muriel Thompson in an Austin took second (first?) place in the first Brooklands race for women - The Ladies Bracelet Handicap. [1]
She acted as chauffeur to Emmeline Pankhurst and other prominent suffragettes
WWI Decorated as an ambulance driver and medic - included the British Military Medal.
