Note: Reference to John Holt & Co at Liberty Iron Works in 1891: 'JOHN HOLT & CO., ENGINEERS and MILLWRIGHTS, Liberty Ironworks, Stalybridge, Manchester. Repairs to Engines and Mill Gearing personally superintended. Makers of Barker's Improved Elastic Metallic Pistons.'[1]
