1944 Andrew Stewart (Woollens) Limited was registered, with capital of £25,000, to carry on business as manufacturers and merchants of tweed cloth, etc.[1]
1947 Andrew Stewart (Wholesale) Limited, The Pirns, King Street, Galashiels, was registered, with capital of £2,000, to take over as a going concern the wholesale department of the business of Andrew Stewart (Woollens) Limited.[2]
1989 With the company now in receivership, its trading assets were offered for sale. The business was described by the receivers as manufacturers of high quality cashmere and lambswool knitwear, cloth, mohair rugs and scarves, and ladies co-ordinated tailored clothing.[3]
1995 The company was dissolved.[4]
