Gobron was a pilot and engineer who flew Breguet biplanes at Issy and designed high-powered engines for early planes such as Voisin.
He held pilot's certificate no. 7 from the Aero Club de France.
Jean Gobron (b. 1885), son of the president of the Gobron car company. He did very well at Port-Aviation, with three wins and two second-place finishes.
