c.1877 Manufacturing of sewing machines for Newton, Wilson and Co was carried out by the St. George’s Foundry Company at the Pope Street factory, Birmingham.

1884 The manufacturing firm had become the St. George's Engineering Co.

1891 Newton, Wilson and Co ceased trading.
