James Braby Senior and James Braby Junior - Engineers.
1859 Exhibited Patent Wheels and Gearing for Carriages propelled by steam, so that they could travel on common roads. It consists of an annular railway or drum, having on its inner circumference a conical circular rail. The driving wheel works within the inner circumference, having a corresponding groove to the rail in the large wheel. Gearing is introduced to give different velocities in travelling, and a crank communicates with the connecting rod of the engine. == See Also ==
