"JOSEPH GRIFFIN WALKER was formerly director and manager to [[Walker Brothers|Walker Brothers, Ltd]]., Walsall, constructional engineers, and had been associated with the firm throughout his professional career, including his apprenticeship, which he began to serve in 1890. He was born in 1869 and educated at Dudley Grammar School and Mason's Science College, Birmingham. On the completion of his practical training in 1896 he was quickly given responsibility as he was appointed in the same year chief engineer with the charge of the design and execution of the entire constructional work. Subsequently he designed and superintended the erection of the experimental plant in connection with Turner's Process for recovery of waste hydrochloric acid. Mr. Walker had been a Member of the Institution since 1909. His death occurred on 22nd August 1951." | |||

"JOSEPH GRIFFIN WALKER was formerly director and manager to Walker Brothers, Ltd., Walsall, constructional engineers, and had been associated with the firm throughout his professional career, including his apprenticeship, which he began to serve in 1890.
