Matt Jemmison was born in 1885 and apprenticed with P. R. Jackson, Ltd., of Salford.
After four years as Technical Engineer to Crompton and Co., Chelmsford, he started in business on his own account as an Electrical Engineer. When the firm was formed into a limited company he was Managing Director for some years.
In 1920 he became Technical Representative and Competitions Manager with Veloce Ltd.
He died in January, 2942, at the age of 57.
He was elected an Associate Member in 1922.
