1954 Bio Note [1]

Mr. Cledwyn-Davies received his apprenticeship with the Bristol Aeroplane Co. (Aero Engine Division), after which he spent a year with the Welsh Metal Industries, Ltd., as a designer draughtsman on jig and tool design.

He graduated in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Bristol in 1949, and remained at the University to undertake research work for which he gained the degree of M.Sc. (Eng.) in 1951.

Between 1952-53 he was employed as a research assistant at the Massachussetts Institute of Technology, and during that period took the degree of S.M. in Engineering.

In January of this year he took up his present position as a mechanical engineer with the Esso Petroleum Co. (Refinery Department).
