The name of Wellco Holdings was changed to Grosvenor Group
1983 Grosvenor Group acquired Floform of Welshpool from GKN[5]
1984 Grosvenor Group bid for Backer Electric Co, which made electrical elements for domestic appliances[6], and Weigh-Count International; existing subsidiaries included Floform and A. M. Lock and Co[7]
