Carries Queen Margaret Drive across the River Kelvin near Glasgow Botanic Garden.
The appearance of this fine bridge belies its relatively young age, having been constructed in 1926-9 by Thomas Somers and Considiere Constructions Ltd. The main arch, spanning 135 ft 6" (41.3m) is supplemented by small arches on each side for footpaths. The concrete structure is faced with red Corncockle sandstone, while red Peterhead granite is used for the parapets. The main span is long.
