Started in 1855 as De Bruyn Kops, Mannebach & Cie., in Tilburg.
1862 The factory in Breda became De Bruyn Kops & Backer.
1870 Mr. De Bruyn Kops retired and Mr. J. G. Rueb and Jhr. F. Backer formed Backer and Rueb.
1884 the name was changed to NV Machinefabriek Breda, formerly Backer & Rueb.
1967 the factory joined the Rhine-Scheldt combination , which later became RSV.
1973 to 1993 named BV Machinefabriek Breda.
