1886 Born in Chorlton the son of John George Boden, engineer fitter
1911 Living at 44 West Ashton Street, Salford: John George Boden (age 51 born Derby), Engineer Foreman. With his wife Fanny Elizabeth Boden (age 56 born Manchester) and their three children; John Harold Boden (age 27 born Stretford), Postal Clerk; Oliver Herman Boden (age 25 born Manchester), Die maker; and Elsie Christine Boden (age 22 born Salford), Draper's Assistant.[1]

1938 With Hans Landstad visited Sweden to examine the manufacturing of the Bofors gun and make arrangement for its production in the UK
1939 Continued as deputy to Lord Nuffield when he was appointed Director-General of Maintenance in the Air Ministry.
1940 Died aged 53
