This is a wrought iron lattice girder bridge built in 1870 to carry the Launceston to Deloraine railway over the South Esk river. Designed by [[William Thomas Doyne|Doyne]], Major and Willett.  The ironwork was supplied by [[Charles De Bergue and Co]] of Manchester and Cardiff.  
This is a wrought iron lattice girder bridge built in 1870 to carry the Launceston to Deloraine railway over the South Esk river. Its two 64m. spans were the same as those of the Barwon Iron Bridge at Geelong, a figure not exceeded in Australia until 1880 when the Fitzroy Suspension Bridge was built.

This is a wrought iron lattice girder bridge built in 1870 to carry the Launceston to Deloraine railway over the South Esk river. Its two 64m. spans were the same as those of the Barwon Iron Bridge at Geelong, a figure not exceeded in Australia until 1880 when the Fitzroy Suspension Bridge was built.

Designed by Doyne, Major and Willett. The ironwork was supplied by Charles De Bergue and Co of Manchester and Cardiff.
