SS Orduna was an ocean liner built in 1913-14 by Harland and Wolff in Belfast for the Pacific Steam Navigation Co. After two voyages she was chartered to Cunard Line.
1921 she went to the Royal Mail Steam Packet Co, then being resold to the PSNCo in 1926. Her sister ships were the SS Orbita and SS Orca.[1]
1926 December. She left Belfast for Liverpool after undergoing at her builders' yard a three month period of overhauling and reconditioning. She ran successful trials, after which she was taken over by her owners, the Pacific Steam Navigation Co, of London, who were to use her on the South American service.[2]
