The Royal Mail Steam Packet Co's twin-screw motor liner Alcantara, built by Harland and Wolff, Belfast, Builders and Engineers. Sister ship RMS Asturias
1926 September 23rd. Took to the water and completed her fitting out towards the end of the year.

February 19th the Alcantara left Belfast Lough for Southampton.
