1904 'BURGESS, Alfred, 95, New Bond Street, London, W. Car: M.M.C. Total distance travelled since becoming a motorist: 50,000 miles. Hobbies: Boating, shooting, photography. Principal aim in furthering automobilism: To assist in the production of home-made automobiles, which shall be better than anything made abroad. Thinks: (1) That British-made automobiles are now quite equal to, and in many cases better, than foreigners; (2) That a duty of at least 10 per cent. should be levied on all foreign automobiles imported into Great Britain.
