1914 1914 June 4th. Died at Calshot Air Station while flying in a Short seaplane. The plane stalled in a turn at low height and applied full elevator suddenly to pull out of the resultant dive and the left hand pair of wings collapsed. The plane dived into Southhampton Water. [[Thomas Scholes Cresswell]] was also killed.
