1962. Air Commodore George Bentley Dacre C.B.E., D.S.O. who died in 1962 aged 70. He served his country in two world wars and his county as Deputy Lieutenant of Sussex, High Sheriff, Vice-Chairman of the Territorial Forces Association and County President of the British Legion[2]
