Built in 1819, with castings from Aydon and Elwell, for John Pollard of Newlay House.
One of the original maker's plates is displayed in Calderdale Industrial Museum (see photo).
It has four arch ribs and radial spandrel members, all of slender I-section.
Similar examples elsewhere in Yorkshire: (Gasworks Bridge and Walton Hall Bridge).
