2018 Correspondence[1]
The company was owned by the Woodhead family, who had their main domicile in Felixkirk just outside Thirsk, but which also had several companies and estates around Thirsk, among other a pharmacy and a car dealership in Thirsk itself. I was also told they owned an abattoir and a shipping firm in Leeds.
The couple I got to know at the time, was Elisabeth and Harry Woodhead (MBE), both now deceased. Mrs. Woodhead managed the family’s estate which had 14 tenants farms.
The company was managed by Mr. Paul Scholes in the seventies, he also lived in the vicinity of Thirsk, at present I think he lives somewhere between Northallerton and Thirsk. I believe the company had approximately 15 employees in its heyday. One of those is their Chief Engineer John Whiting of Bagby near Thirsk.
The company sold farm chemicals, veterinary medicine as well as aerial application with helicopter and fixed wing aircraft.
