1990 Barry Wehmiller International acquired Melville Engineering, makers of aerosol-filling equipment. Added to its US interests, this gave BWI 40 percent of the world market in this equipment. Also acquired Manesty Machines, the sole British maker of equipment to press and coat tablets for the pharmaceutical industry[2]
