1880 Effected improvements in Andre's incandescent lamp
Went into partnership with K. MacKenzie as consulting engineers. They carried out the installation at Grosvenor Gallery Cenrtal Electric Lighting Station.
1885 Became an Associate Member of the Institution of Civil Engineers
