Previously part of Leyland Vehicles and then Land Rover-Leyland
1982 Leyland Trucks unveiled the UK's first battery-powered truck ready for production by the end of the year. It was a 7.5-tonne electric version of LT's Terrier truck.[1]
1987 DAF Trucks took a 60 percent controlling share in Leyland Trucks and Freight Rover and became Leyland DAF
1993 The Leyland factory was subject to a management buy-out and became Leyland Trucks Limited
1998 Leyland Trucks was acquired by Paccar of the United States and incorporated as the Leyland Trucks subsidiary of that company.
