White and Thompson was founded in 1912 to build aircraft. They later moved to their own facility at Middleton-on-Sea near Bognor in Sussex.
- The company was founded by Norman A. Thompson and Dr. Douglas White.
- The first aircraft were designed by F. W. Lanchester and built by Daimler.
- They built 8 of the Type 3 two-seater anti-submarine flying boat for the RNAS
- They supplied 10 of the Bognor Bloater wooden biplanes used on coastal patrol duties.
- 1915. Thompson then struck out on his own and renamed the company Norman Thompson Flight Co.
- 1915. Agents for Curtiss.
