1904 APPLEBEE, F. W., Church Hill, Walthamstow, London, E. Car: 2.75-h.p. Rex motor-cycle. Total distance travelled since becoming a motorist: About 15,000 miles (since November, 1902). Hobbies: Cycle-wheel polo, photography. Holds many cycle records, and won over one hundred prizes. Ran through the 1,000 miles' (1903) motor-cycle trials on his Rex, and secured the fastest time for the Westerham Hill climb. Club: Walthamstow Town Cycle and Motoring. [1]
