1904 Mentioned in a court case and 'his brother' Henry Ransley, cycle maker, of Ilford.[2]
The company made 3 types of cycle: the Minstrel (a reference back to the preceding Bard company), the Rea (the name of a local river near the Works) and the Fiscal, a cheaper machine which could also be supplied unbadged so that retailers could apply their own transfers[3]
1905 Three Rea motorcycles took part in the London to Edinburgh Motorcycle Ride
1906 The Minstrel and Rea Cycle Co Ltd was incorporated
1916 Mention of Minstrel Cycle Co, Barn Street.[4]
