THE death took place at Uddington, near Glasgow, on February 7th, of Mr. William Cuthill, late works manager of the Blochairn section of the works of the Steel Company of Scotland, Limited. Prior to his appointment with the Steel Company of Scotland and service at Newton and Blochairn, Mr. Cuthill had been assistant manager for some years in the Dalzel Steel Works of Messrs. David Colville and Son, Motherwell, in which works he acquired his early training and experience in mild steel manufacture. He was a member of the Institution of Engineers and Shipbuilders in Scotland, the Iron and Steel Institute, and other scientific societies.
