1885-9 Apprenticeship with J. and J. Thomson at Finnieston Engine Works

1891 Director of manufacturing engineering for Workman, Clark and Co in Belfast

1901 Became a member of the Inst Civil Engineers

1933 Died at Dess, Argyllshire[1]
