1896 Anglo-American Oil Co began marketing Pratt's motor spirit.
1910 Advert by Anglo-American Oil Co of Pratt's motor spirit.[1].
1928 Introduction of a high grade motor spirit, Pratt's Ethyl, in conjunction with Ethyl Gasoline Corporation.[2].
1929 In response to competitive pressures, Anglo-American Oil Co would supply Pratt's Motor Oils directly to garages.[3].
1933 Advertised the benefits of Pratt's Ethyl and Essolube in reducing winter starting problems[4].
1935 Anglo-American Oil Co replaced the brand name Pratt's by Esso, to align with other products such as Essolube, Essolene, etc[5].
