August 1902.

Hewetson was a motorcycle produced in 1902.

This was another name for the Laurin-Klement motorcycle made in Austria-Hungary. Its 1.75hp engine had a fuel tank that acted as a surface carburettor, and the magneto bolted to the underside of the crankcase. The extended engine height and lack of deep loop frame meant that the engine was mounted high. It drove the rear wheel by twisted-hide belt over a jockey pulley. A band brake was fitted to the front wheel and a rear brake was optional, as was a flat raw-hide drive belt.
