1870 Established as Lones, Raybould and Vernon at Rolfe Street, Smethwick.[1]
1872 Becomes Lones, Vernon & Holden [2]
1876 Opened Sandwell Works.[3]
1919 Taken over by John Brockhouse & Co Limited.[4]
c1938 J. Brockhouse and Co acquired Lones, Vernon and Holden, which concentrated on railway work[5].
1958 Ceased production.[6]
1959 With the change in the buffer technology used by the British railways, the company's business had declined and it closed this year[7]
