1956 Platers and Stampers changed its name to Prestige Group in order to reflect the name of the principal product group of the company. In conjunction with the American parent, Ekco Product Co, acquired 2 small German companies and a Dutch one. With Ekco, acquired a substantial shareholding in Venesta[1]
1957 Factories at Burnley, Derby and Blackburn. Together with its American parent, Ekco Products, the company owned 25 percent of Venesta[2]
1957 Copper Bottomed Stainless Steel Holloware known as Prestigeware. Also Prestige Pressure Cookers, Kettles and Oven-Glo Bakeware.
1961 Manufacturers of cutlery, gadgets and kitchen tools, pressure cookers, stainless steel saucepans, metal furniture, carpet sweepers, mops, polishes and commercial bakeware. 2,100 employees.[3]
