Pilot Radio Ltd, of Park Royal, Middlesex, was a private company.
1935 Company founded; the company was associated with the Pilot Radio Corporation of USA, with whom it maintained close ties.
1953 Manufacturer of TV sets [1]
1959 Ultra Electric purchased Pilot Radio, which then became a wholly-owned subsidiary. Ultra also acquired the Pilot trade marks in 17 European countries from the Pilot Radio Corporation of USA.
Later Ultra sold its radio and TV business to Thorn who maintained the Pilot brand until 1974.
