1942 Incorporated as Stringer (Melksham) to acquire a distributor of Austin Cars and Commercial Vehicles founded by Frederick Charles Stringer and his father in 1933

1954 Name changed to Stringer Motors

1959 Public company incorporated; Frederick Charles Stringer was chairman

1968 Wadham (Holdings) merged with Stringer Motors to form Wadham Stringer[1]
