The Tylorstown pits were sunk on the southern dip of the Ferndale seams by the Tylor Brothers
The property was transferred to the David Davis and Sons
After this the workings of the Tylorstown and Ferndale collieries were made physically and geographically continuous.
1896 Major explosion occurred in the Tylorstown collieries
