1950 JOWETT JAVELIN SALOON
The design of the Jowett Javelin Saloon represents one of the first post-war efforts to produce a new look in British motor engineering and the 1950 version of this model, with evolutionary developments, is a leader in its class. The only pre-war Jowett feature retained is the use of opposing cylinders.
The Javelin body is a single unit built integrally with the chassis — a system of construction having great strength.
At first sight the rear seats of the Javelin appear to be somewhat lacking in headroom, but this is an optical illusion created by the aerodynamic contour of the body as it is swept down to the tail.
